My First Planted Tank - 10 G (Warning High Res Images)

Hello!

This is my first ever planted tank. The tank is about 4+ months old and it certainly has been an awesome transformation.

Equipment:
Fluval Stratum Substrate @ 2.5-3 inch thick
Aquaclear AC 30 with Fluval Prefilter at the intake.
Aquatek Mini CO2 Regulator with Solenoid Valve and paintball tank coverter connected to a 12 oz. paintball tank.
Finnex Ray 2 18 inch DD LED Strip
Finnex HOB Breeder box with 6 inch FugeRay connected to a small Powerhead
AW-20 Water Pump - connected to a 1 gallon reservoir for refilling tank water. This is set to refill 700 ml every day.
Generic Ceramic bar diffuser
Generic Drop Checker using 4dkh water (from ebay)
API Master Test Kit
API Phosphate Test Kit
API GH/KH Test Kit

The first 2 months was crazy. I knew I wanted a planted tank but I initially did not want to invest on a pressurized CO2 system and a good light fixture. After deciding that I wanted to grow a carpet of dwarf baby tears at the front of the tank then I decided to go a little high tech. The DIY CO2 was awesome at first but I was not happy not being able to control the CO2 properly so I gave up on it. The T8 lights was a bummer too. I was not sure I was getting enough light so I was not happy with it either and went with the Finnex LED Strip which was awesome for my small tank.

I am still not done with the equipment as I plant to purchase a dosing pump (2 actually) to fully automate the fertilizers. I am having trouble with the daily dosing schedule so I decided to put a system in place to take care of it once I figure out the correct dose for each ferts.
