What is this Algae
As the title says i would like to know what this algae is and how i should get rid of it / should i get rid of it. One of the pieces of wood has flame moss attached so i need to be able to treat it with that or if all else fails i can remove the flame moss.

Can I just scrub it off in tank or will it spread then. To me it looks a lot like Rhizoclonium but it's very dark in spots.

Is your driftwood from a local river or lake near by? I had that in my driftwood too. I added three algae eaters and the stuff was gone in a week!

Yes it is from a local lake. The problem it's on a piece of wood in a nano that I plan on having red cherry shrimp or pumpkin shrimp in and the other tank has aggressive cichlids. So I'm not sure what I can do about it other than clean it off by hand and hope it doesn't come back.
