Desktop ADA Mini M
Current FTS (9/8):
![]() After a long break from the hobby, I've dusted off my old equipment to start another little desktop nano. Here are the usual details: Tank: ADA Mini M Filtration: Eheim 2211 with standard outflow, Do!aqua inflow (if anyone knows of a decent knockoff 10mm outlfow, let me know). Lighting: Solar Mini 27w CO2: ADA Advanced System with Do!aqua Music Glass 10D Substrate: ADA decorative sand (can't remember which type...) Here's the tank shortly after setup: ![]() The water is a bit yellow due to tannins, so I'll be adding my bag of Purigen once its recharged. My plan is to add flat stones tied/laundry-netted with Riccia and various mosses to the areas of bare sand around the driftwood, much like in my old Mini S. I also have some Anubias nana 'petite' on the way to tie on the rightmost area of the driftwood, in front of the Bolbitis heudelotii. The moss on the branches is Christmas. The floating stems are temporary, but I may incorporate them into a wabi kusa ball for the back of this tank. For fauna, I'm planning on a bunch of Boraras brigitKtae and Amanos. Thanks for looking, and suggestions are always welcome.

Thanks Frank. I was tempted to go with a 60-P, but this will have to do for now.

Nice tank and scape. Are you going to add some more substrate? Looks very shallow.

I need to try a nano. I keep seeing these awesome looking ones but I can't seem to replicate it myself.
Good work on the tank though, looking forward to see it progress!

I picked up some additions to the tank today, and added Purigen to the Eheim.
Amano shrimp ![]() ![]() I couldn't resist these little guys when I saw them at the store, so I bought five. Still planning on Boraras brigittae when I can get some. ![]() Since I'm not planting any stems, I don't need much substrate, and it helps make the tank look bigger than it actually is.

Ah, I see. Good point, regarding the scale.

The pygmy cories certainly won't be the centerpiece, but so far I love them. Nano tanks are all about the details, and I can't help but sit and watch the little guys swim around every time I look at the tank.

I received my Anubias nana 'petite' this afternoon, and added to the right of the driftwood as planned. Here's the tank now (excuse the floating stems once again):
![]() I also found a good deal on some cherry shrimp at my LFS, so six of those were also added to the tank: ![]() The water is a bit hazy, probably because I stirred everything up a bit when I removed the wood to tie on the anubias, but the tannins from the wood seem to have been taken care of. The next step is to add some riccia or moss on stones around the wood, and then introduce a school of Boraras brigittae.
