wild plants near gainesville?

I keep hearing rumors that you can find plants like ludwigia repens, bacopa, and others others throughout gville and I've done some looking in local lakes but I havent had any success. Does anyone know any good places to look?

Thanks

Sean

Idk about up there. But here in South Florida, you can find Jungle Val, Cabomba, Anacharis, and Rotala Rotundifolia.

Paolo if you go to the Everglades you can find all kinds of stuff. Hairgrass, ludwigia, rotala indicia, bacopa monneri/carolina, cabomba, anachris, val americana, and I've found other plants that I couldn't identify. Lots of stuff if you just look.

I know, I just forgot about those plants. The lakes next to me have bacopa and anacharis, and the lakes where I used to live had "Dwarf" Hairgrass and ludwigia. And there are others I have found.

Right off SW Archer, 23rd Dr, there's a small pond, Riccia, Bacopa, Mermaid weed, etc. Most rural roads have road side ditches, filled with mostly Ludwigia and sometimes perhaps Mic umbrosum etc.

I also found some hair grass(E vivipera) of the bike trail (Hawthorn). If you head to the springs or rivers and take a canoe, you'll find maybe 10 + species.
