Ive left plants in a bucket with water for 4-5 days before and never had a problem...i think i might of lost a few leaves but thats about it. im guessing 1 day isnt going to hurt anything.

You will be absolutely fine leaving the plants in a bucket overnight.

Nothing to worry about!

I have just moved and I left my plants in total darkness for 5 days to kill the hair algae. After that they have been in a huge bucket with a light on a timer for at least 10 days and will not be moved for another 10 of so until I get the time.
I'm guessing they will survive (java moss, java fern and dwarf sag).
I just worried if the tank will have any space left for fish and water after I stuff all my plants and other assorted junk in my show tank

they seemed fine, I rescaped the tank today. It looks kinda funny after taking out the huge bunch of Hydro poly. I still have some of it in a bucket and I will rescape the 20 tomorrow.

Never understood the bucket thing...I usually just throw the clippings/plants in the tank and let them float there instead. Then when I am ready to plant I throw them in a bucket. If I dont get them all planted in a day then I just re-float the rest in the tank again and repeat.
