My first trys

Well my kids wanted fish so they both have fish.
Tank 1 Ready Freddy the Betta and one crs and some plant a bubble filter. The plants I did not keep track of just brought what looked kool.
I was told that the floating plant in the second picture was Water Sprite but it does not look like it at all it was a freeO with the duck weed.

There is some Red Ludwigia a Anubias Congensis[one really small leaf] and Sword growing out the top and what I think was Asian water fern In the first tank.

Tank Two is my son Cichlid tank. There is some Red Ludwigia, Anubias Congensis and a fern that I cannot seem to find a name for as well as some duck weed and {Water sprite?} I’m going to see if I can trade the Cichlids for some Tetra or some other fishes.

CRS? like red and white striped? i'd hardly keep that with a betta, it'll probably get eaten :c
plants: you may need to fix your lighting, i dunno if it'll be sufficient for all you've got. can you post some pictures?

anyhoo, welcome to the site! is your signature a paul simon reference, or just similar?

the betta will likely harass that crs to death at the first chance he gets. Not an ideal situation (for the shrimp).

Make sure the top of the water in your betta tank isn't completely covered as they are air breathers

The duck weed isn't covering the whole top. But it is helping with evaporation.
Does anyone have a clue what the plant in the second photo is?

I added a lava rock and the Chiclids seem to be haven a better time of it. I'm thinking of adding some wood. The ferns I have in that tank I m thinking of tying them to the rock and wood when I find the right peice.

Thanks

I'm looking for a 3 or 4 gal tank preferable a tall tank not a long one.
Anyone have an Idea who makes one.
