Looks like it is off to a good start. I've never heard of this moss, Notocyphus luscens before. What is it like?
As for rain water I'm not sure I know what that is anymore........... |

thanks i just got two of them from jimco but its in the bottom pic *right corner* and the pic above it the two in the center is *right noto left minirose. well for rain water its easy to set up a collection system and holding tank, my bro has one on a side gutter 15-20ft long and it was like 90+gal from a couple of rains so you really can set it up to collect a good % for wc.
just need to go get some ss mesh and replant the trimmings ive done the plastic i like it for some things but the ss mesh is nice for carpets as its heavy and doesnt blow around like the plastic does*back right side of tank u can see the plastic green mesh. |

Nice shrimp tank, Hypnotic! What's the shrimp "sitting" in, in the last post?
Also, can you really trademark your Title??

its a mix of almost all 20/40 black coal slag with the discolored stuff on top is onyx sand(stored them in the same type of bucket and added the onyx) would like to fix it but didnt want to disturb the tank.
there are 4 in the last pick but they blend in well with the different shades of substrate. ive seemed to keep more babies this time or just noticed more while ive been using repashy shrimp, but ive been using it dry and adding a little bit of cold water and dosing with a baby syringe. it wont be set up like it says but ive noticed it keeps my shrimp in there natural state of scavaging around. and thank you for the complement |

An update is hereby officially requested on this, the 31st day of December in the year of our Lord 2012.
The CBS are awesome looking. Is the Repashy keeping them healthy?

been a long time sometimes life can be really buzy, will try an update soon with new pics as that little crs/cbs are all grown up and breeding.
begina, yes that repashy is good stuff for my newly hatched guys i just used a baby syringe and just mixed it with water to make a slurry, noticed a bit more babies surviving when i did that. i know that your cbs is the f1's of those babies. dogfish, the oak leafs never gave me tannins, there are some old and new leafs in there you can see some of it clear and decomposing, i do have purigen but doesnt really get tannins when i dont use it. |
