MrBrongher,

I could really use a bristlenose or two.

I think I can make it to this date, I'm in.

For Pacific, is it the same train stop as WIN on the D?

I have his Bristlenose and can say he's healthy and doing really really well in my fish tank.
If you take the D, get off @ Grand St. and walk. The station is situated midway between Win and Pacific. its a 10 minute or less walk...

Okay thanks. I did finally make it to WIN a couple weeks ago, picked up 10 cardinal tetras @ $1 a piece.

I hadn't heard of Pacific until now though. I might check it out because I want to dirt my tank and start planting soon.

Looking forward to this.

Edit: Anybody know a good place to find dwarf sag? I am still gather co2 parts (going pressurized right off the bat), but a place to find decent plants would be nice. Thanks!

I won't be able to make the meetup, but just in case we haven't shown you appreciation, just wanted to thank you, Albert, for taking the time and effort to organize all of this.

My pleasure but its more for the community. This is easy compared to the group buy im organizing, which honestly is still easier than shipping for RAOK.... now that's real work!

I encourage everyone to use this as an opportunity to meet other local hobbyists, do a trim to clear those tanks for new plant trades, check out some stores you've always heard us visiting but never have. Off load livestock and supplies that would be greatly benefit in someone elses tanks. I'm still working on things to bring and give away. This will be fun for everyone, i promise.

Chinatown is the great place to meet. I have to travel by train 45 min, that's ok but it is worth to visit Pacific.

Completely off-topic, but wanted to let you know that I have plans for a relatively large trim from my big tank sometime this weekend and I will be throwing away a bunch of dwarf sag, so if you'd like some, just let me know. Very green without algae and it's just taking over my substrate. I'm thinking I will have at least a dozen or more plants. I can ship if you pay for postage, or you can come pick up at zip code 11362.

Just noticed this (newbie from CT but within train distance)! I would really like to join in. I have friends I meet in LES on random occasion, so I'm reasonably certain that I won't get lost.

I only have Java fern that's in any decent shape (hornwort's looking a bit brown right now), but I can bring a few clumps if anyone's interested. I also have a Marina hang on breeder box, medium size, that I can offer up. (I was going to set up a refugium, but ended up just chucking everything in the tank instead.)

I'm interested in getting some duckweed and Taiwan moss. I've thought about setting up a shrimp tank, but it's probably too difficult for me.

I'd take a breeder box. I can give you duckweed and/or salvinia.

Oh, BTW, I have duckweed and salvinia if anyone else wants some.

Oh, nice, thought I would never get rid of the box!

It's not S. modesta/giant salvinia, is it? The giant one is banned in my state, but it looks like I can transport S. minima. My goldfish will love this :P
