What is this Algae??

I was having a big algae problem now for the past month in my 29 gallon. Most of it is under control now except what trapped this moss to the sand, and whats forming on the sand "see pictures". I have no clue how to get rid of it. I have been doing 5 gallon water changes every other day. That got rid of the green hair and green film on the glass.

So I was wondering if I could get some tips on how to remove this algae. A gravel vac did nothing but spread it. Water changes don't seem to be helping much either. I don't want to ad any chemicals trying to keep it as natural as possible. I've been told to keep doing water changes. That it will go away with clean water. I even raised the light 8", and cut it down to just 4 hours a day. Next step was to cut the lights out for a couple of days.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

No chemicals would be more difficult.
I'd suggest erythromycin or h2o2.
