How many mysteries to keep

I'm supposed to be getting my new shrimp this week which means I don't need ten mysteries to keep the cycle alive anymore. I don't want them to outcompete the shrimp for food, which I know they will because they're big pigs. How many should I keep to help keep the cycle going? One? Two?

Once you have the tank established, you don't need the snails anymore except as pets.

Similar to what Soothing Shrimp said, I recommend just keeping the number that's pleasing to you aesthetically in the tank.

But how can 20 little bitty shrimp keep a cycle alive in a 13g tank with two hungry HOBs to feed?
