HypnoticAquatic 40b

finaly got around to taking some pics of my 40b. got this tank from a lfs shermantanks when he finaly decieded to jump out. bought it for my brother but it just happend to get set up so its staying. tank has been up and running for some time but just got my co² running for 2weeks and i do enjoy how fast it helps everything fill in. the tank is no where near where i want it but its operational and doing fine imo. it has a led ufo on it that is way over kill but does what i wanted it to. fauna as of now is 20 neons, a small colony of cherrys, a L1 sailfin rescued him from my 2 bristlenose almost killing him, and some algea eating shrimp no name but told not amanos idk¿ glosso just got started and in 2weeks went from a 2" square to almost 2²ft. here are some pics hope you like.

thx its got some algea still from having a 12hr light sched so ive cut it back to like 5orso still playing with it as its = or better than a 400w hps. going on vaca soon so well see what happends when im away hope for the best. im also only using a 100% organic fert on this that i made for my landscaping job and have had awsome results but prob wont be as noticable as they have to stay in small amounts compaired to what i use it for. norm get 2-3x total mass and a guy got a 10lb carrot using this so well see if it even helps.

well its been a long time from the last update and had some issues to deal with but its coming back, lost most of my glosso finally got it on the comeback for the last 3 weeks only had about a 4x4² that survived as the root structure kept dieing an massive hair algea problems.
it still has some hair but its much better so that will be a easy fix now that everything is on the up. still going to rescape everything soon substrate, plant layout, and looking into makeing a tier to have a step rather than a plain. the pic is a crappy cell phone picture as my camera is mia.

been a while from a update, so had some big issues to deal with led light got wet and died so moved co2 to bros house while watching it for a couple months so this tank didnt get any care(light,co2,fert) just feeding fish for 3months.

with all that just had some algea*at least a softball solid* to clean up last night and redo the substrate and a wc to help out and clear out some murky water happends with changing out the sub, only been about 8hrs from the change looks alright not planed or scaped just needed it to get planted an i can do that another time, but i think it looks much better just need to put a background back on for that little extra pop. i think its on its way to looking good again hope ya like

Plants look great for being neglected. Pretty decent jungle look, too.

Here's part of a trim from my 40 part of about a week's worth of plants sold some to the lfs. inside a 55 gallon with a 6 inch nicaraguence doesn't mind the plants much at all. She's shy but I've caught her straying from under her rock and playing in the plants till she noticed I caught her then back to shy mode lol.

Got tired of not having a nice layout so did a bit of a rescape/removal of some plants. Went from this to this. Still could take out or move a few things but it's still getting better I think it is anyway.

yea i used to not be a big fan of it but now that i have it in a larger area i really like it, you can see that it was super thick so i spread/thinned it out a little and will let it fill back in. i did the layout with a big center opening so my fish can hide anywhere on the outside if they feel threatend but they tend to stay out in open now only one that still is very timid is the juvi nicarguense as hes never been around people much but within the last week or two hes staying around when i get close cant hand feed him yet but doing much better than he was.
