I prefer layout number 5 or 7. Though, the one in the very first post is terrific.

And focal point? The wood is the focal point! It's great.

About wood being near the glass: As long as you can fit a cotton swab between it and the glass, you can use the Two Little Fishies magnet cleaner with ease.

I do like #5 a lot, I might try some sort of combination between that and the first one.
Mainly because I think for this size tank its best to push the wood off to one side, and my solar mini light has its arm on that side, and so is all my pipe stuff.

I was gonna say number 5 too. It has a nice flow without looking uniform...if that makes sense. haha.

i like #5 and #8 a lot, but #8 is so close to the glass ;u;. i just like how it spreads out, it looks like roots or something... could look really nice buried in substrate.
