Male Betta aggressive at night

Does anyone know why male Betta gets aggressive when the light goes out? He started attacking my 2 female Painted Swordtails but only when I turn the light out. They lived happily together for 3 months until recently. The only other fish I own at the moment are 12 Neon Tetra & 2 Cory Cats but he leaves them alone. They all live in a rectangular 3ftx2ftx1ft 100 ltr aquarium

I notice that as well, but my betta is all black with red and teal in it...

I have him in a 55 gallon with a honey guoarmi - I KNOW I KNOW bad combo!
but they do not bother each other (honey is too fast) and when the betta chases the honey just waits until he gets close and swims away.... and keeps doing it... I think he messes with Charlie Murphy (my betta)

but I also been battling with ICH. I raised the temp + salt in my freshwater aquarium. something is killing off my neons (they were not infected from what i can see just my clown and cardinal) Everything is clear but at night I noticed that the honey was beating the [censored][censored][censored][censored] out of a neon. I think the neon went to the top of the tank because it wasn't doing well in 87 degrees + salt (very sensitive fish) and the honey was attacking for food. (strong survive)

I took the tetra out and put it to sleep. Novocaine and vodka
