Cannibalism or gettin' bizzay?

I found two of my assassins together this morning around 8 and they're still together. I was wondering if they eat each other or if these two are listening to snail Barry White and gettin' it on? If so, what do I do with the eggs and how to raise the babies? (I'm in a hurry, no time to research today )

They won't eat each other unless one's already dead. If they lay eggs just leave them alone and they will hatch.

+1. just let them be and they'll do fine. I found mine breed more in a tank with driftwood in it. I assume it's because they like to lay their eggs on the driftwood and the babies have a place to hide out.

Oh great, just what I don't need. More tiny critters hiding out in my sponge pre-filter. If they do lay eggs, when will they hatch and how long will it take for the babies to get big enough to sell?

not long, few months depending on how much they are fed. But it will take a bit before the babies emerge, like 3weeks to a month before they come out of the soil. I had 8 asissans in my 40breeder and with in month and a half they ate 500+ mts and gave me many babies that I got rid of after having them for um, 4months or so, maybe less..

Have you tried really bad music to get them out of the mood?

They must have a snail-size ghetto blaster hidden somewhere.

How long does mating take? They were together at least 8 hours from the time I first saw them. Now they've disappeared into the sand.

I'm hoping I get assassin babies because I've harvested most of the adults and sub-adult MTS I've found for my RAOK. All that's left are babies now.
