Beginning of the rescape!

So swapped out a large piece of driftwood in the right corner and replaced it with a cedar stump and created a thicket of sword plants, on the far right is another stump piece with some built up sand and rock, ultimately that corner will be a bushy grown in area full of plants, kompakta, wendtii green etc also ordered some Java Fern to attach to the driftwood also going to get the moss to grow on some flat rocks and create a grass look on the substrate... Thats the plan and this is simply the beginning :-)

LOOKS AWESOME man....Might I suggest some FLOATERS? not duckweed, but something like frogbit or RedRoot Floaters?

Thank you guys, I have considered floaters however I have a surface skimming overflow for my Sump, not sure how to keep them away from it lol.

Getting some more plants today and also debating redoing my discharge pipe

Looks good, those swords look nice. Seem like this is the time of the year to make changes. I just installed my 3d background last night.

funny you mention that ... My lfs has some and they look sweet!!

Don't do that!!!! Got to Wal-Mart and get about 3 black Poster Boards & cut to fit. Its all you need.

Some updated photos, plants have started being placed and hopefully start growing in soon, getting co2 replacement pieces come Tuesday so should really start growing

Also through in some pretty fish pictures, got some Congo tetras!

Yes... I enjoying this much more, so are the fish!
