Plant Suggestions

I'm starting a 20 gal tall. I'm using flourite substrate, no c02, and 28w (24" T5 14x2 6700k), topfin 30 HOB, seachem liquid ferts.

I have the equipment and hardscape setup. Looking for plant suggestions for this setup.

Considering easy stuff like java ferns, annubis, and amazon swords. any other suggetions? foreground plant doable in this setup?

A foreground plant would be doable but not a lot obviously. Also depends on how much rock or wood you use to cover up the ground.
Here are some suggestions for you because my setups are somewhat similar (no CO2 and about the same lighting).

~Wisteria (you could create a pretty cool looking forest with a lot of trimming & planting. I've got a nice one going in my shrimp tank and I love it)
~several Crypts would be fine
~Sunset Hygro
~Some Bacopa
~Jungle Val (if you want a grassy look at all)
~Aromatica Limnphila
~Lotus
~Ludwigia repens x arcuata
~Many types of Java fern
~Dwarf sag

There really are a lot you could go with, but those are some ideas.

Well my LFS did not carry dwarf sag... so I went with clover. My first time with Marsilea quadrifolia so curious to see how it will work out.

Yup, Marsilea species are great low-tech carpeting plants. They take a while to settle in though. You may not see any growth for a while, but be patient and it should fill in within a few months (depending on how densely you planted it, of course).

Marsilea is working out great. it's growing both up and out so i'm cutting it short then replanting the clippings. very fine roots so i'm just so of pinning the cuttings down and for a few days so they can root themselves.
