Question

Ludwigia inclinata 'pantanal' emersed ?'s

So I know that you can grow ludwigia inclinata var. 'pantanal' because I have a stem of it that grew out of the water and it converted to emersed form. Well now it will not convert back and grows to the top still in an emersed state so I figured why not just take it outside in my emersed setup. So is this plant hard to grow in emersed state?? and by hard or difficult to grow I mean is it as demanding as it is submerged..

And hmm, why will it not convert back since it seems the least bit affected by water??

-it has been under water for some time now, like 2+ weeks.

Thanks!

What I do with emersed state plants to force them to start growing submerged is to trim the top of the plant off, it will force the plant to start producing side shoots in the submerged form once replanted underwater.

IME, it is less demanding to grow it emerged. Also, I agree that cutting off the top will force the stem to send out "submersed" shoots from the nodes.
