Non CO2 Planted tank owners..please share :)

I see a lot of enthusiasts on here using CO2. I'm interested in the people that have nicely planted tanks without it. Please share photos if you have them and your secrets . Here's a pic of my dinky plants lol (just starting out).

Ooooh, goldfish! Don't see them very often 'round these parts! I have a 135g planted tank I'm letting cycle/fill in before I move my 6 gf into it. It's low tech as well, but I don't have any pictures of it yet. You might want to head over to the low tech forum. Here's the "show and tell" thread from there: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/lo...-tell-low.html

Thanks for the link, I will take a took . Yeah, I'm learning goldfish are not the best mates for a planted tank but I love my big guys. So far hydroponic pots and river rocks help.

10G, no Co2

Stick with aquatic ferns and anubias for goldfish. They won't eat those.

I think most people get sucked into playing with CO2 (DIY Yeast) out of curiosity at first, but realize how much more the plants grow with CO2.
Plus a lot of the "cooler" looking plants often times need CO2 and ferts for them to grow properly.
Great looking tank, you've got plenty of room to play!

My other tanks are non-CO2 as well, see my sig for links to their journal. Pics are kinda old though I need to update.

I need to take more pics of my "low tech" tanks, but here's what I have. No CO2, no excel, no ferts, no root tabs. Just feed the fish and shrimp and do water changes.

My 5g RCS tank (fish have been moved to another tank, but the plants are the same):

One of my 29g tanks. It's not so centered normally, but I had trimmed some of the plants, making the one in the middle look overly centered.
