Calc 4...Help?

Just curious if anyone here could help me out with #5- it's a pretty simple problem, and I think the answer is 1/2, but I don't really know why... Keep in mind we just started class on thursday, so it's still a pretty simple problem (go easy on me in otherwords if you know how to do it lol)

Whenever I got stuck on something like this, I found youtube to be a great help. There are a lot of videos with short lectures on a huge array of subjects. Sometimes all it takes is having someone explain it in a different set of words.

Calc 4...lmao...I'm having issues with college algebra. I'd shoot myself if I had to take calc.
