It would, I expect as long as it is situated in a spot that doesn't have standing water. It likes humid conditions but not we feet.
I have some growing outside (in the summer of course), that are in quite deep shade so lighting shouldn't be a problem.
They can get quite large as I'm sure you know.
Not sure about dormancy overall but I remember a room mate that had one growing as a houseplant all year round.
