HD VIDEO: Watch in 720p! Speedie's OEBTs and Black Impact PBL CBS

Wanted to share with everyone how beautiful my OEBT and Black Impact really are. This is as close as it's going to get to Real Life! The Black Impacts are getting mature now and their colors are getting much more thick/solid now. Take a peep for yourselves! Enjoy!

I just noticed I have never seen your FTS of your shrimp tank where you hold these bad boyz. I wanna see the whole picture too, the layout of the tank.

Ooo these oebt are irresistable, I may be buying more during mid summer, gotta get my tanks established first!

As far as I know, yes they breed true. They are a Pure Black Line originating from Japan. Still very rare in the hobby, this line. I was only allowed to purchase 10 of these bad boys.

haha That's because it's butt ugly lol. My tanks are not geared for austhetics. They're only for breeding and housing. Nothing else.

Let me know when you're ready for some .

My water paramters have changed slightly. I'm now finding they like a tiny bit of hardness in their water so I toss in some crushed coral and they're colorful as ever. I don't even bother checking params anymore to be honest lol. But if I had to say, I'd say my PH is around 7, gh 6, kh 1, temp 72F, & TDS 200-240.

As you can see my Black Impacts are doing quite well in this water as well. Keep in mind I do 20% WC once a week. I've been using Mosura Mineral plus for re-mineralization with nothing but good results. Remineralize RO water before dumping in to 190TDS and once it mixes with the tank water it should be about 200.

Hope that helps.

So Black Impact is a different pure line from CBS? They look similar to SSS CBS.

Black Impact is just a name used by an unnamed Japanese breeder who carefully selectively bred his/her own "Pure Line" CBS which ultimately resulted in these high grade Pure Line CBS. They are not results of crossings with Taiwan Bees which some folks were originally speculating.

Doesn't have to look pretty if it gets the job done!

Very nice. They do have black legs. Which water parameters do they prefer?
