I will add pictures of my Bolivians and some of their tank mates here... Just wanted to get it started with a pretty good picture of the "man of the tank"

From when he was first put in the tank.. he was a looker from the get go! lol

These are taken on my phone(camera battery charger was hidden by my 2 year old) so please bare with me.

so this is one male and a number of females, bolivian rams live in "harems" as opposed to pairs, like GBRs?

just wait.. as they mature.. they get even more colorful.. they are picky on their mates.

Right now i have 4 males and 3 females.. The males are all fully colored and good size and all have their little territory in my tank

I am sure, I just need to sell some of the males, I am sure there is alot of "tension" and I have seen him picking stuff up for the new female.. so maybe soon!.. I was told it was 2m/4f

But it was 4m/2f so I got an addition female the other day that was their size, and am just waiting for people to buy some males, so I can get a safer ratio.

They all look great! I agree, as they get older, the colors will probably become mush more vivid.

Was gonna say something about those little guys. The story is quite long. lol Here it goes.

I found them living off of the bottom of a tank I tore down several months PRIOR!!! I Honestly had no clue the parents had spawned before I had sold them all. So I put them in a 10 gallon, some died, I fed them when I remembered, since I figured they wouldn't make it from all of the stuff they had been put through already(mean I know..

)

I stopped feeding that tank because I saw NO signs of life for quiet a few weeks. Anyways... They SOMEHOW managed to survive off of driftwood for about 2-3 months.

I was going to tear the tank down and use it as a breeding tank for my new venture here with the Bolivians, and I found these little guys swimming around! I feel SO BAD! But they are still here, and VERY colorful for their size, they ARE about 6-8 months old, but they are only about .5-.75" big.

The tension is the fun part

i love watching then square off... but if you have too many.. then that will lead to issues of territory size

Their new tank with some new plants.. I actually have about 50+ more STILL coming.. lol that plants on the back right isn't going to make it I think...
