Sick Fish Please Help . . .

My grandmother has a 55gal upstairs and one of her rummy-nose(spelling?) tetra's has a bizare growth on it's nose. She keeps insisting that her red-tailed shark bit it and now the growth is it's infected. I however don't think that is the case but either way she has no clue how to treat it. . . any thoughts please. I'm not sure if the picture is very good he is very hard to get pictures of.

It's probably a tumor. There's no cure for it.
