One of the Red Cherry Shrimps that I just received is berried.


Hoping that everything goes well... is there any way to tell how long she might've been carrying?

Is there a physical difference between the first week, or the final week before birthing?

if you cut the shrimp open and count the rings inside the head just behind the whiskers, you can tell how long shes been carrying that particular set of eggs, 1 ring for each day

It varies by breed but the eggs tend to develop little eyeballs in later stages.
