Are bubbles OK?

OK, I just "fixed" filter by cutting off the lip and adding plexi glass. I realized there is NO surface agitation, but there are some bubbles coming down from the outake when the water flow in. Is this OK, the bubbles are pretty big but would these be too much to dissipate CO2? Thanks!

The bubbles are fine. By doing that modification you'll be conserving a lot of CO2 by restricting gas exchange at the surface. You still get plenty of gas exchange within the power filter itself and when the water rolls down the chutes., in case you were worried about your fish.

Thanks for the reply. I had to re-attach the pelxi glass 2 times, and on the 2nd time I used tacks instead of glue, worked a lot better. All I had to do was drill a hole in the plexi glass, and then put the tac through the hole and push it into the plastic, and it is as stable as a nail. I also attached some filter floss right after the outtake ends, so now there aren't any bubbles. I have to get a CO2 test kit, I might get that today!
