Glosso and Substrate
Hi. I plan on upgrading my tank size... so I would need to buy more substrate and I don't want to spend money on more Eco-Complete. So my question is- would glosso do fine in normal pool-filter sand, given I have everything else like CO2, high light, and EI dosing?

my understanding is that plans will take in nutrients through roots(substrate) and leaves(water column). Either way, if you are dosing per EI specs, you should do just fine.

Thank you for the response.
Since they take in from both substrate and water column, do you think osmocote under the sand would help? Or would it be too much nutrients, along with the EI dosing? |

sure, but difficult to evenly fertilize in a carpeting situation.
