co2 diffuser options

I currently have a ceramic atomiser in use , the problem with it is that it puts thousands of tiny bubbles through the tank. Now I know that that is how it works, it just looks not so good. I would like to know if an inline diffuser would work better, or would it just do the same thing? How about putting it on the inlet to the canister? Will this give the co2 more time to dissolve, or will it just build up and cavitate through the impeller?

In line diffuser does same thing. Looks like a cloud of smoke coming out of the spraybar. Try an online reactor if you font like the bubbles. Never used one but some places sell them and most people DIY them.

Yes I have seen the Griggs style reactors. Might have a go at one of those.

+1 for the reactor! They work great and I get very few bubbles throughout the tank..very simple to make and are worth every penny!
inline diffusers work pretty good also..you can have a broad range of amount of bubbles come out from hardly any to a swarm of little bubbles, just depends..atomizers are great though, though it seems it's just all on personal preference..

How did you manage to get "thousands of tiny bubbles through the tank"? СO2 bubbles normally rise up to the surface, even when they are tiny. They normally don't get distributed "through the tank".

The bubbles rise up in front of the spray bar and blow all over the place. The idea was that more co2 would disolve before the bubbles broke the surface.

you might want to try a cerges reactor. do a search. it'll be easier to "build" compared to rex's.

Atomizer diffusers cause the tank to look MISTY. Don't know how it happens but with these there are tiny bubbles all over the place.

I have been considering an atomic diffuser, but this post has me a bit concerned.

I gave an Ista Max Mix reactor a shot and it was extremely noisy, and it was also a hassle to hook up. Although, if hooked up properly, I'm sure it would do a fine job diffusing the CO2. It is also a good option if you don't mind you output flow to be cut by half.....

Considering an inline diffuser...yet I have trouble when it comes to hooking up anything inline...as DIY is not my specialty.
