Her personality makes up for it... she's the sweetest fish... eats from your hand, not aggressive at all...

I had to separate them though... the one on the left was constantly harassing the other one.

Wow. Those are both nice fish. Breed them both to separate males and then combine the strains. Good looks and good manners...

So, after separating these 2 (they were constantly fighting)... I got a male from RWaters. Within 24 hours they had dug up under a coconut cave, and they are now protecting it fiercely, with the female inside. Sounds good...

I'm excited at the idea of having baby kribs... and also kinda scared if I ever get too many of them...

The other female went into the community tank, and (coincidence ?) I found a dead cory the next morning

I love kribs there so easy and prolific but that is why culling rejects is so important. If you let nature take its course 10 to 20 will survive to unedible size but that is every few months and the little buggers are darn hard to catch once free of the parents. Once you get wigglers scoopem up and put em in a grow out tank and trade to lfs or friends when they get big. Also be prepared for a wholey male or female batch as ph affect sex ratio. Congrats and good rearing!

Baby kribs are the cutest and very self sustaining.

Hmmm, ok, it's hard to count them but I think there are close to 100 babies.
The tank is a 55g with the kribs pair and 10 odessa barbs (5 adults, 5 young). It's fine while the kribs are tiny, but as they grow up, surely I can't keep 100 kribs in there... Shall I move them in a separate tank ? if yes, at what age ?
