Black Hair Alage: What Causes it?

Hello planted tank community. I have 2 aquariums with low to moderate lighting with anubias in both and black hair algae is the primary culprit, as it loves to grow on the slow-growing anubias. Although its not a huge deal, its a little unsightly.

I'm just curious as to what factor(s) may lead to the predominance of this form of algae in my tanks.

I went for many years without ever seeing any BBA. But, once I had my first infestation of BBA I now find it eventually in every tank I set up. Algae reproduce with spores, which, from what I read, are nearly indestructible. So, perhaps BBA once growing in our household, will be with us forever after, and all we can do is slow it down so much it is easy to get rid of when we see some of it. This should be true for all forms of algae, but BBA is notorious for the indestructibility of its spores.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
