I have not used one but it looks similar to the fluval u series. I have a fluval U1 for a 10 gallon shrimp tank and I like it. I might buy one of these some time to try it out. It looks nice and it is a good price.

Really can't comment about how they work as filters, but I do use these as modified circulation pumps. Bought four online (very inexpensive, $9 ea including free shipping) and have been using them for over a year. I think they only draw 2 watts. The flow is not very powerful, but they suite my applications and have performed well. An older picture shows how one of these pumps are being used to diffuse CO2 in a twenty gallon tank. The plastic filter chamber/case was removed from the pump, as well as the suction cups(that are used to secure the pump to aquarium)... also attached a black 45 degree fitting to the output directing the flow to the bottom of the tank, which the picture does not show. Very effective/efficient with dispersing and circulating CO2 mist. Only drawback I've encountered: an occasional snail getting stuck in the intake opening.

IF 201's & 202's (not the IF 203 which was in your original post)... the 201 is suppose to be a bit less powerful than the 202. I think the 202 is listed as being close to the 203 in regards to flow. The 201's have a smaller footprint in overall size, along with pulling only 2 watts ~ I believe the 202 pulls double the watts. They run very quite. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of difference between the flows of the 201's & 202's being used (although I am just using the 'eyeballs' as my gauge of measurement). Maybe this has something to do with the plastic filter compartment being removed. I have been pleased with their performance, especially for the price I paid.
