Hi Lee04,
One of our GSAS members is into finding and using plants found in our local waters, typically from north of the Seattle area. They have collected hairgrass, ludwigia, and two of three other plant species along with Japanese Trapdoor Snails.

All around the hoh rainforest is Hornwort. Cleanest hornwort you'll ever find too.
I really wanna go collecting too, but living 6 hours away from all the 'good places' puts a damper on that.

Thanks for sharing! I'd love to go out to seattle sometime on an all day trip to visit the society, local stores, and waterways.
