Question

Angel Fish question

Ok so I have a 55gal tank with 4 cherry barbs, 1 platy, 2 lamp eye( red eye) tetras, 2 silver hatchet fish, 3 scissor tail rasboras, 1 zebra danio, and 2 skirt tetras.

I want to add 2 small angel fish to the mix and was wondering if I would have any problems. I am not really opposed to getting rid of any of the fish or having a few become angel food. So I was just wanting opinions or suggestions.

Thanks!

The only problem I might forsee is that the skirts might pick on the angels fins. Other then that no, no problem at all

So you think I should just keep an eye on those skirts? They don't really seem too aggressive or nippy towards each other or the other fish really so i'm hoping that'll apply to the angels.

I dont really see any other problem with the other fish (maybe cherries but ive never had them so i really cant say) Ive had mixed results with other barbs though. And Dont worry about the angels eating the other fish and you didnt list neon tetras lol
Ive had nippy skirts and non nippy skirts so who knows. On the otherhand if they do nip the angels might get fed up and chase them off, again hard to say. I really dont see any big problems though (unless you get two male angels that dont like eachother)

My cherries are pretty docile, plus cherries are supposed to be one of the more peaceful barbs. haha yeah I had one neon tetra left from a school of about 8 and they slowly all died off and unfortunately for this last one the other fish didn't waste much time eating him after he had died. =l Hopefully they will be nice or I will send their asses to the LFS. lol =P awesome! Thanks for the input! I have been wanting angels since I got my aquarium about a year and a half ago but being new at that time I though the people at petsmart knew what they were talking about when they said they should be by themselves....
