5G Yellow POSO and Cardinal Tank

Setup
Tank: 5G Deep Blue
Filter: AC20 HOB, eBay sponge filter
Lighting: 10W LED Utility Lamp
Substrate: Tahitian Moon Sand
Volcano rocks found in Myrdallasandur, Iceland
Driftwood from Echo Lake, New Hampshire

Flora
Sprig of Hornwort
Anubias
Subwassertang
Whatever the POSO don't eat

Fauna
7x Yellow Rabbit POSO snails
10x Yellow Neos (temporarily)
1x Amano
2x Nerite
6x Cardinal Shrimp (from Mordalphus)

Here's a FTS:

Created the Tank Journal primarily as a means of tracking my progress towards growing out my POSO snails. Got them last summer at about a 1/4 inch long. They're now close to 1inch long. I've been feeding them primarily on spinach and zucchini as well as whatever aquarium plants I dump in there. They never seemed that big a fan of prepared foods although they've started eating spirulina sticks recently.

Hopefully they'll start breeding soon!

Ambling:

Received some Cardinal Shrimps today!! First time seeing them in real life and was amazed by how great they colored up almost immediately and how long their whiskers are!

A few pictures of the new shrimp:

Here's one hiding in a cave:

Here are my yellow shrimps during feeding time:

Snail feeding time... he looks like he's smiling!:

Love the way the POSOs move!

Less than a month after getting them, we've a berried Cardinal!!

They've been getting a bit more active and less shy the past few weeks. Not really sure what the difference was.

I'll post a picture of one if I can catch a good one! She's still pretty shy and hides most of the time!

But hurray to the first babies for this tank!

Here's a screen cap from a video that I took of the tank! We only have 5 cardinals in here so excited that we'll hopefully have a lot more!!

also, how are your GBRs doing with your green neons? I always had trouble keeping GBR with such quick eaters.

Glad to hear that you like our pics!!

Depending on which you look at, they're taken either a Nikon D700 or a Canon 5D Mark II... Or... an iPhone

We haven't really noticed any issues with the GBRs. If anything they're the more aggressive feeders compared to the green neons who are actually quite timid at least in our tank.

And now we have two berried cardinals!!

The snails are actually probably a good quarter inch bigger than they were about a few months ago as well. Hopefully they'll be ready to breed soon as well!!

Here's a pic of one of the male cardinals!
