gynandromorphs just for fun

Here's some pics of gynandromorphs just for fun I found on the web when searching for shrimp that have had the same characteristics.

I found TitoC on Shrimpnow had one born last year:

Wow that's so weird. Never new what a gynandromorph was until you posted it. I wondered why there would be like electric blue lobsters kept in a same tank as orange ones in aquariums.

As soon as you post that I see in my tank today one that one side looks like a narrow V band and from the other side, a single hino on the other. lol.

I mean this must be much much harder to spot in dwarf shrimp. As most of us can't 100% tell the difference between a CRS male and female.

Well I was trying to take out any A/S grades, saw the V band, shrimp turned around, it was a hino from the other side. Thought the first shrimp took off and the second was a new one so I flicked the net and it turned around again and there was the V band again. lol.

There I got this weird one where the headgear is halfway down and then stops at a straight line but has a hino dot.

Most of these critters are hermaphroditic and have both sex organs. One side is male, the other female.

Getochkn, any way to see the other shrimp of yours as well?

In essence, there could be a very expensive market of anyone could figure out how to make a strain of these. heh

Chickens can be born like this, too. Pretty cool.

Yepper, a definite market.
