I'm not going to be around for a while

This has turned out to be on eof the most painful weeks I can remember.

I split up with my fiancee on Sunday, (its not turning out to be very pleasent), and I found out last night my father has skin cancer.

I'm going to be spending time with friends and family so I wont be around as much.

I'm really sorry to hear about all your misfortune, man. I hope things start looking better soon. I can totally understand not wanting to mess around with hobbies at a time like this. Hope to see you back sometime soon, with a lot of good news to report.

Gareth, your presence here will be deeply missed, but given your circumstances it's totally understandable that you need to focus on your highest priorities. Right now it may not seem like it but you will emerge from this as a stronger and better person. My hope for you is that your father makes a quick and full recovery and that you find your true soul mate in the proper time and place.

Believe me Gareth, it may sound a bit contrived but, these things always work out for the best. Better to part ways now than to do it in ten years. At that point you two might have wound up hurting someone other than just each other. I am positive you will land on your feet, and remain the gentleman that we all know you are.
Tell your Dad to hang in there. All your friends here at Planted Tank are pulling for the both of you.

I am truly sorry for your dad. My Grandmother was also recently diagnosed with uncurable cancer. I understand what you are going through. I hope everything works out with your fiance and the split. You will be missed here but take all the time you need.

I appreciate all of the support you guys, I really do.

I am losing every piece of furniture in my place, with the exception being the fish tanks, 2 book shelves, and my computer desk.

What a pain.
