It's a bonsai nursery. Let me know if your looking for something. They have a lot of nice things and the price is right. Not sure what shipping would be though.

Haha cool, thanks! If you're down. There sometime and see some nice Japanese red maples or pines, let me know!

Wow, that's incredible. Lucky Californians got everything!

Maybe, if you spot any nice red maples in 1g pots, if you could snap a couple shots and send them to me, it would be sweet!

Also, that blog is awesome, I regularly read it.

Awesome.

Also, I'm almost home from my trip, but my parents stopped partway to look at some houses in the mountains (grrr ). However while we were there on our 1.5 hour detour I collected a small pine specimen, which I believe is a Virginia Pine tree. It has relatively short needles as well as a decent trunk and trunk movement already.

Exactly. However, my neighbor has been going over twice daily (actually, maybe more) and checking. I have a theory regarding the filter, but I won't be able to check until I get home and investigate...

Just realized I never posted those pictures from the Chicago Botanic Garden from my vacation like I said I would -- they're uploading now, and be warned, there're a lot of them!

Alrighty, here goes:

(My personal favorite of the entire collection)

(my second favorite)

By one of the fountains, there was a ton of moss growing and thriving in the humidity, Presumably this is where the get their moss for their trees.

My third favorite of their collection.

It started raining a bit while I was there, but it was pretty light.

This was the only Japanese maple there (there were quite a few trident maples though)

The raindrops on the board in the background of this shot make for a nice effect.

An interesting accent plant.

Raindrops in the background got caught in midair!

Okay, that's everything. Hopefully I haven't bored you guys to death. If you EVER find yourself in the Chicago area -- go here.

No problem! It was one of the neatest place I've ever seen. Someday, when I am a successful entrepreneur I will have to go back and make an offer on that incredible Trident maple

Awesome trees. I don't know how I feel about those backgrounds. They make the trees look more artificial than usual.

I dunno, I thought they made neat displays from afar:

and awesome photos when tightly cropped:

To each his own. The trees were amazing, though.

This thread needs a bump! Whoah!

The humble collection:

Here's my Trident maple. Started as a pre-bonsai stock a few months back (maybe ~4):

The view from our kitchen/living room area:

That awesome root-over-rock Trident maple is not mine (yet ). It belongs to TPT user Zeldar who needed a place to keep it while he moves, and if I can cough up the price tag (buy some Wabi Kusa from me guys! ) by that time I can go ahead an purchase it. It's sorta beat but that's the fun part -- bringing it back to par.

We need to see new trees, as well as updates of your trees you've posted before, folks!
