As needed. Once a day at least, more if the soil dries out.

Is it possible that they can get too much sun too?
Some branches, the leaves are turning brown and dried up. Watering is pretty good. I just moved it into the shade where it'll get only a few hours of sun.

Is everyone ordering these online or do some nurseries carry Bonsai? Think I will go to a few tomorrow to see if I can get my hands on one.

depending on the tree, yes its possible. it could be that you cant keep it moist enough for the sun that its in. you did the right thing. what kind of tree is it?

Is that a type of tree? I've never heard of it. But from a quick google search it looks like they're only found in the west coast?

I have 3 bonsai trees. I am still a beginner in keeping bonsai trees. What do you think? The 1st picture is supposed to be a hibiscus. I am not sure if thats true or not since I have been unsuccessful at making it flower. The 2nd is a texas ebony. And the 3rd is a snow rose which has bloomed a few flowers. Does anyone have any experience with flowering bonsai trees because I can't get mine to flower but they grow great.

it should be fine in higher sun. but if its okay in lower light, thats great, because it will slow the growth a little and you wont have to prune and retrain as much

Whoah, this thread needs a bump!

Here's my small collection (if you can even call it that lol) at the moment. Pics taken just 20 min ago or so.

Chinese elm and Trident maple

Chinese elm, about 1.5 weeks after a good pruning.

Trident maple, going on I think 3 weeks after repotting.

Who's got trees that hasn't posted pics yet? Who's got updates on trees they've had!
