Because they love it, and you cant stop them. That stuff is a weed anyways and i cant imagine fish eating it into distinction from your tank. If youre really worried about it ill send you about 100lbs of the stuff for free lol (ok not 100lbs, but it does grow so fast that i could make that much in a few months. Im just painting the picture)

My goldfish love the stuff. I have it in my 55 to propagate and feed it to my goldfish in their 10g.

I have over 20 tetras that ate it all... The BATs devoured them since they have the biggest appetite out of the rest.
Since summer is nearing, I buy a portion for $1 from a LFS and grow them outside in buckets. They multiple very fast! |
