Starting a Vase collection


And it begins.
My first vase

Dwarf tiger lily
3 blue pearl shrimp
1 snail
Fluval Shrimp Stratum

interesting, but i would have waited for it to establish more or grow that lily out a lot before adding the animals

No worries, i already took the stratum from an existing tank, and the water i took from my existing tank as well.

its 6x14, couldn't find an 8x14, that would be awesome. But for $5 from the craft store, can't complain.

I don't get any direct light, but lots of indirect light. I'm hoping its enough.

The Fluval stratum shouldn't release any ammonia, so it should be ok....especially if he added some floating plants.

This isn't a bowl D: looks good all the same but looks a little bare.

Well unfortunately I still wound up getting a bacteria bloom, but one of the blue pearls is berried, so I guess its not THAT bad. Just hope it clears up soon.

change the water. this could likely use weekly water changes, especially at the start. can look very nice once its all grown out
