Rave- Animal Planet's new show 'tanked'

These guys make all sorts of crazy high end fish tanks. The last ep I saw them turn a classic car into one, make one for a man cave (had a functional keg on it), a shark tank granite desk for some lawyers, and a $30,000 quarintine tank set up for some millionares mansion. it was SICK!!! check it out if you haven't, it's on demand on comcast currently.

It's so cool, those guys pretty much have my dream job. They have a huge warehouse in vegas they do all this at. I forget the name of the company at the moment but I know I had heard about it via these boards prior the show.

Don't remember.

But here's the old thread on "Tanked" Personally I don't care for the show and am sorry it was renewed.

sorry it was renewed? like you were rooting it against it to be? lol okay. There seems to be a lot of snobs in that thread, I personal was glad to see the fish tank world get its own show. It is mostly saltwater tanks with fake coral so yea that stinks but freshwater tanks/plants are not everybodies cup of tea. To me it's all about the wow factor that the shapes of these tanks are built.

Agreed, I was disappointed in the lack of freshwater, but I thought the beer keg tank with cichlids was real neat, even without live plants. The shape of that glass was insane.

I like saltwater too. I've had a few reef tanks over the years but I prefer FW. I can appreciate the time, effort and work that goes into SW. Personally, and this is just my own personal opinion, not my expert opinion since I don't give that without it being billable time, the show does a disservice to the hobby. Anymore and I will have to start charging the consultation fee. I take MC, VIS, and Amex.

That is very 'hipster' of you to think. Beautiful fish on TV, people that know what they are talking about, and neat fish tanks being made... ummm... disservice? I am not pretending that these tanks are the worlds prettiest flora wise... but outside they are so cool.

Can't find one unfortunately, but all I know is I want a desk like that in my office. They had a crazy amount of granite on top of it, the pure physics of how to build it to hold that weight interested me.

I just can't see in my head how sharks would inside a desk, it has to be a pretty big desk? Or really small sharks?
