Rachel,

How big are your Sawbwa resplendens and what are the Male/female ratio. I've been told that the females display no red at all... is this what you see as well?

They are just over 1" and just beginning to display sexual dimorphism through their coloration. The females are a clear yellow/gold color. the males get a steel blue color to their body and red noses and fin tips. Generally, it is pretty hard to get females so I order them quite small to maek sure I get a good ratio. The males can be pretty nippy during spawning so a good ratio is important (similar to cherry barbs, not agressive, just really horny fish).

Rachel, the Amanos and Chillis are doing great! I am going to have to get a camera so that I can share some pictures. Unfortunately, when I was coming back home from your place, my check engine light came on. So i am going to have to take my car in to the shop. An extra expense I was not counting on. But, I still want some Otos, and Cories, and Yellows, and Sakura, and....

Hey Nick- I CAN do that, but I don't think you would be happy with their behaviors. While the males are certainly much more attractive, they can get very nippy with not enough ladies. It is better to go all male, or to have a 2m/4f ratio with these fish.

Probably not for two weeks, a few came in with red pectorals and I am still monitoring them. THey are fat and look good, but I need to make sure

I need to order more brigittae, I put an order in, but it won't be in for 2 weeks (trying to coordinate with an Indian shipment as well)
