Purigen Reactor with co2? - Can it be?
What's up planted community?! Im currently setting up my big project tank. I have several smaller ones and i'm finally moving into a bigger tank. I have a 75g tank. I've recently bought a new Eheim 2076e, it's awesome. I have a purigen reactor i bought online, the phosban ones. MY question is, can i hook up the co2 into this reactor and have it absorbed in the same reactor. Instead of using one just for the co2? I am woried that the purigen may affect the co2 or vise vera, i'm just unsure. Using a milwaukee co2 regulator with bubble counter and needle vaulve. I've seen co2 reactors that hook up to the outtake line and have impellers move it around. Any suggestions? Thanks

You can, but if the reactor is running proper direction for the Purigen it is running the wrong way for the co2. If the bubbles dont dissolve before they float to the top of the reactor you'll have micro bubbles in your tank.
It's might be like misting with a far greater dwell time.
