Benefits to Mixing 6500/6700k bulbs with 10k
I am curious if its better to have 2 matching bulbs in my light hood or if a mix would give me some better flexibility in my plant choices.
I have a 15g tank that is currently cycling. I have an Aquansun 24" hood with no bulbs currently. |

It's all about personal preference. Bulbs anywhere in the 5000-10000k range will grow plants just fine. Personally, I like a mix of 6500k and 10000k. I'm pretty sure that's a t5ho fixture, and if it is, then a mix of giesemann aquaflora and midday is a nice combo that is nice to the eye and grows plants great.

That's what I thought. I am buying a new light hood/bulbs to make my 15g suitable for plants.
