my little obsession
i'm not really one for journals, so i'm just gonna post pics of my current set ups, and hopefully, i'll post pics as things change from here on out.
currently, i'm running (2) 20L, (1) 55g, (1) 8g Ebi, (1) 125g, and (1) 60g. i also have a small emersed set up for my crypts. sorry for the crap pics, but they were taken with my cam phone. maybe one day i'll spend $$ on a camera instead of tank stuff...lol ok, here we go: Tank 1. my 125g. since i was a little boy of about 8, when i started keeping fish, i always dreamed of having a tank of 100+ gallons. well, here we are, 35 years later and i finally have it! it is my crypt haven. i'll add a list of them if anyone is curious. here's the pics for this tank. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() tank 2: my 55g this started as my primary tank, and has since been turned into a sort of "grow tank" until i really come up with a scape i really like. ![]() tank 3: 20l #1 "the river tank" this tank has gone through a bunch of changes recently, however, i finally decided enough was enough and gave it some permanent plantings. ![]() tank 4: my Ebi. i love, love, LOVE these tanks. trying to talk the bed bully into letting me put one of these in the crapper. so far, all attempts have failed. ![]() ![]() ![]() tank 5: 20L #2 "the kitchen drawer". you know how everybody has that kitchen drawer that collects everything you have no idea what to do with it? well, this is my tank version. it's a grow/quarantine tank, nothing more. it is going to be replaced during the next $1/gal sale since i was dumb enough to whack it with a piece of glass and put a chip and crack in it, about mid-height. still holds water though. after i get it's replacement, it will be wither a dart from tank, or a fire belly toad tank. ![]() tank 6: my newest addition, a 60g. footprint on this puppy is the same as a 40B 36x18, but it is 21" high. other than my ebi, this is the only other tank that has been deemed "shrimp only" from the start. i just set this up friday evening, so it will be quite some time before there is any change to this tank. ![]() and last, but not least, my little emersed set up for my crypts (and a few other things) ![]() that's all of 'em. oh, here's a few other shots that i kinda like : my "wall o' water" the 60 next to the 125 ![]() 20L and Ebi together. had to crop the heck out of this pic as to not offend anyone with my "stripper calendar poster" LOL ![]() ![]() looking down the left side of my tanks ![]() that's all of them. i'll post older pics later for comparisons. these keep me pretty busy, but they aren't the only tanks i have supplied with fish and plants. in our house, we also have my wife's 55g, my son has (2) 10g's and my daughter has a 15g and a 2g betta tank which currently houses Barney the Betta. they can start their own accts and post pics, i'm freakin' exhausted!!LOL as always, enjoy and comments/suggestions are always welcome!! -Bill

came home to find this today in my 125
![]() ![]() i don't plan on breeding the rams, or any of my other fish for that matter, but if any of the fry survive (unlikely) they will be welcome additions to one of the tanks in the house

Actually, i have. I already have a team of 6the kuhlis in there. Was thinking about adding a big school of cory's or maybe otos. My main concern is those raphaels. I worry about what they are gonna eat when they get bigger. They already ate one of my endlers (my favorite black bar). To which i quickly pulled them out. My plan is to have all fish that are no smaller than close to 3" when fully grown. Been thinking i may have to find the raph's a new home. Maybe a 125g discus tank may be in order one day....lol

thanks! the 8g shrimp tank is being broken down this weekend and i am trading off all the shrimp in it. i'm going to convert it to malawa shrimp only. the 20L kitchen drawer tank is now empty and it's currently being made into a habitat for fire bellied toads. i also added a 29g bowfront to the arsenal, for tree frogs.
but the 60g shrimp tank is by far my favorite. all she needs now is some tiger shrimp or crs. would love to have cbs in there, but alas, they are not within my budget constraints

Great, you took down my two favorites and gave them to the amphibians!
Just kidding... I'm sure they'll look just as awesome! I'd love to see pics!

well, the 8g is going to look the same, just different species of shrimp. and the 20L had a small crack in it, so i figured that instead of tempting fate any longer, it needed to be converted. the 20L with the chocolates is still up though. that's my breeding tank for pacific blue-eyed rainbow fish (pseudomugil signifier) and chocolate shrimp. i love those little fishies. they started out as 5, then we went to 4 (one thought he could fly, he was wrong...lol). now we're up to 6. i found 2 fry in my kitchen drawer tank and decided to move the adults and the fry to the 20L. i'm hoping to have more fry BEFORE my chocolate shrimp gives birth. don't want anything too tempting for the fry to eat.
