So who here is a musician or music artist?

Pardon me if this has come up before, first and foremost.

Going though people's journals, I have seen at least 2 tanks in recording studios and more than a few guitars or other instruments in threads. I would love to hear music from my fellow planted tank enthusiasts and some discussion.

I think everyone should write a bit about themselves as a musician (even if you just like to jam or play the "Stairway to Heaven" solo), a picture of your favorite instrument, recording setup, or whatever you do (especially if you have a tank in the room), and post a link to your music.

Don't be afraid to be lengthy or short on pictures if you want to, please just don't take over the thread, especially with links. If you want to be brief, it's still awesome if you participate. Beginner to professionals, please feel free to indulge and treat everyone equally. Even if you are not a musician, feel free to jump in if you find it interesting.

I will start.

Background:
I started playing classical music in school at 4th grade. I was OK, never good. I did that until my senior year of HS. In college, I would take basic theory and keyboard classes to get easy credits for things I already knew. It kind of hit me that I really loved music though.

I started getting panic attacks in 2002. I really didn't know how to deal with it so I started playing around with a music program. I quickly learned how to make basic hip hop stuff, the genre I listened to most. I just continued to do it and got better. I have now been doing it for about 10 years, seriously committing my time to it for the last 5-6 years, and working on making it a career in the last 3.

Studio/Instruments:
I really don't play a "traditional" instrument anymore. I play the "keyboard" or what would be considered a digital synthesizer. I also play a "drum machine"/"digital sampler".

Here is a picture of my setup:

Here is a picture of my tank in the room (on the back wall of that picture) in it's best state (it isn't looking so hot right now but it's in my 29 gallon journal in my sig):

My music:
Here are some links to my music. The first is the work I really do, which is instrumentals (beats). The second is links to songs I made the instrumental for (produced) and other people rapped over them.

Let's get this going my music people and anyone who loves music.

Take a pick of your drum kit or favorite guitar

I played clarinet for 8 years. I wasn't good enough for jazz band (well I never tried out but everyone who didn't make it was better than me in concert band lol). I thought about trying to pick it back up, many to learn Alto. I think I may pick up a trumpet instead and see what happens lol.

Lol, I feel like I am dominating this thread too much.

I am not a guitar player but I do know this. Having one "work horse" guitar is a really good thing. Especially with acoustics. Something you can pick up every day and just get to playing on.

Personally play alto/tenor saxophone, drums, bass, pluck away at guitar and sing. Played in high school and have just kept messing around with whoever wants to play since then.

I sing. These days mostly R&B but I love Jazz and American Standards. http://soundcloud.com/dionna-blue
I'm published!
Highlights - Touring with KRS-ONE, singing Jazz in NYC--a piano and an upright bass=heaven on earth!
Lowlights - Effin up Misty at a Jazzmaster workshop, getting a stalker after singing Fever at that same workship. lmao

Oh, and Sunday my hard drive crashed and I lost a bunch of songs I didn't have backed up. oops. Hp laptop not even a year old, still under warranty...I installed the new drive today. The bad one was a Seagate. I HATE Seagate! The new drive is a Toshiba. Hopefully better.
