How about we try to get a STL based club going? (SLAPS)
I have met 3 nice people that arent too far away from where I am. These are guy's that I have met through plant purchases from the SNS, so there has to be more of us out there.
I propose starting up SLAPS (St.Louis Aquatic Plant Society) to further enhance out knowledge of our hobby and make some new friends.

i dont feel like i would be much help, other than some trimmings here or there. i would probably attend a meeting every couple of months or so.

This would be great! I'm always looking for a local club. If you think you want to get something started you should check out MASI, the local aquarium club. I been in it for a while and it is great! They have a HAP program where you can earn points to get awards. There is also auction and shows. Here is a link http://www.missouriaquariumsociety.com/. There is a big handful of plant collector in the club.

I wouldnt mind seeing thier planted section. SLAPS is more for the planted tank, scaping, growing and all of the otherquestions we all have about it.
Really it's more of an excuse for me to talk with people who like planted tanks instead of the usual at work... When are those shrimp going to be big enough to BBQ? |

Wow! I didnt know there were this many locals on the forum.
I am definatly interested in this! Its great meeting people with the same crazy obsessions. I'd probably have more questions than answers but Im willing to help out in any way I can!

I dont know about any others except for us. Now all we need to do is figure out when is good for everyone and where to have it. Im good on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights and am off all day on Sundays.

Count me in. I work at Pet Market Place.I used to work there several years ago, but just came back a few months ago for some extra cash. I'm always down to talk tanks and swap things(once mine start growing in) over a few beers or something. I'm usually open after 7 and weekends.
