55 dimensions?

i have a free day at work and would like to design a hood in auto-cad, but i need the dimensions of the top rim of a standard 55 gal. (length, width,& height.) i think its 48X12X1.25. thanks DOC.

Thats the tank size. In my head i'm thinking canopy, and the inside and outside dimensions of the plastic trim for a snug fit with a covering lip, opposed to resting the canopy right on top
