C02 Regulator builders help needed.
I just got the
Aquatic life CO2 Regulator with Solenoid Valve I'd like to upgrade existing needle valve to a swagelok metering valve, any suggestions that would work with this regulator? TIA Quote:

I have the same thing. There is no need to mess with it. Mine works great. Nice and small too.

Nice, GOOD to hear. I've heard some people say the needle valve is low end.(opinions) Hows the adjustment on it.

It seems pretty easy to me. Its my first attempt at CO2 and so far its great. You could always try it and upgrade later if you feel its necessary.

Yes, the valve is low-end. Yes, it will work. Yes, it's very finicky when adjusting.
You can upgrade to anything you'd like that has a 1/8" NPT fitting. Or anything at all, if you get a [whatever] to 1/8" NPT adapter. If you want a Swagelock that works for our purposes, take your pick. M, S, 21/22, or O series will all work, some better than others. And there are plenty of other brands out there, too. Check http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/eq...n-our-co2.html and then cross-reference with Evilbay. Anything with a 1/4" tube fitting can be adapted to NPT. |
