Wow. I can see the bottom of the bucket now! What's that seaweed looking stuff on the top?

LOL, ohmygosh I need air now, I so have a fear of heights. Poor kitty, I am going to worry about it falling off now! I wouldn't even be able to peek out the sliding glass door, I'd be so terrified! I just can't do cities, I don't even like visiting NYC and I'm only an hour and a half away. I need a view of nature, not mankind, but that little pot is awfully cute. It is nice that you have found a way to bring some nature to you.

Lol TY You get used to the height after a while, the cat knows not to go outside now.

There's a banana plant and a Petco lily from a while back that overgrew the fish tank. I'm not sure if both are still alive or if it's just the lily. Probably the fastest growers I keep having to trim them back biweekly, else water surface gets covered.

I tried to remove all the duckweed again, but sure I missed some and they'll be back in 2 weeks.

Dang, even if that's two plants that's a ton of growth. I love how small those lily pads are!

Few feet of plants. Obviously couldn't fit it all in the bag, composted the majority.

Just a net, they're pretty easy to catch compared to CPDs and cories. I think that's actually a root particle, nematodes don't last long in open water.

Did you catch the platy fry from this bucket? Or from the 20L? The nemotodes in my tanks sometimes don't move in the water column and evade being eaten. They are also ninjas.

Clear ones form bucket, black/white from 20L. I wish I had more nematodes for the CPDs to eat, they're such finicky eaters.

Have no fear, the hygroryza I send you will have nemotodes in it. They like to hide in the "corn husk" shaped bits.

Another 5 days (after some trimming, top was covered with lilies again), the l. repens is out of control.

Platyfish so many fry in here, I think it's overpopulated.

I don't know why people don't like platies, hardy, cute, blows bubbles:

I feel like it's not really overpopulated. Even if it were you're not feeding them a ton right? So the population should level itself out.

I think platties are pretty darn cute. But if they go after a shrimp they're gone :X
