I'm somewhat in the area (70 miles away). Are there still in LFS in the area, other than Petland or Petsmart?

no not anymore.. there was one for about 6 months but I think they got into some legal trouble.. not real shure though.. but as for tyler its petsmart and petland..

Thanks for the reply. I used to go to the one out near the Harley dealership, but was told they had moved near Goodwill or the Toyota dealership; never could find it and now this might explain why.

I guess the nearest place for me now would be Conroe.

yea.. we have to go to dallas for anything big that we need.. that lfs was right off the loop across from the chevy dealership.. but they are gone now.. I'm glad I got what I got from them before they left.

I am from Tyler but live in College Station right now...

Yeah Exotic Fish is what was by the Harley Dealership then moved to the South East loop but is now out of business. There is a guy that I bought my 125g (much cheeper than petland) stand and lighting system from at Lone Star Aquariums on 110 south of Trane. He was just open for appointment only but I think he is actually open to the public now.

I was wondering if they were ever going to actually open. I do know for the longest he was just doing maintenance and custom setups for people.. thats good to know.. hours are tuesday through sat. descent hours for opps.

Sweet deal that'll work. I'm also interested in gaining more knowledge on growing healthier plants. its better for me talking to people in person and not to a sales person just trying to sell me more crap that I dont need.

Well, let's put it together! Maybe we can shoot for a weekend or evening gathering in March? I have a planted CO2 tank at my office and several low-tech planted tanks at my house. I'd be happy to share plants and stories.

Hi guys, I would be interested too! I'm in Shreveport.

I don't have anything available to trade right now, other than microworm starter cultures.

I have a large breeding group of albino Thai swallow guppies and a breeding group of CPO, so before too long, I should have some cool stuff.

I also keep angelfish and discus and hope to breed them one day.
